When you know that you are making digestive snacks tomorrow, you can start fermenting nuts and/or seeds the night before. This simple step can increase nutrients and make them more digestible.

You need:

  • Nuts and/or Seeds (according to the recipe you are using)
  • 1 mason jar with lid
  • Water to cover
  • 1 tsp sea salt or 1-2 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV) or whey

How to ferment nuts and seeds:

  1. Place nuts and/or seeds in a mason jar and add water to cover
  2. Add either sea salt or ACV or whey to boost fermentation
  3. Close a lid and leave the jar in room temperature for 8 to 10 hours (or overnight)
  4. Rinse off and ready to use for cooking
